Soil (Bulk & Bagged)

Compost

Compost helps sandy soils retain moisture, breaks up clay in heavy soils, adds nutrients, helps improve drainage, reduces erosion, and relieves compaction.

  • By incorporating compost to your soil. The organic matter helps with healthy plant growth and ongoing soil conditions. Therefore prolonging these factors without the use of fertilizer or pesticides.

  • Improves Soil Structure
  • Supplies slow-release nutrients to plants
  • Holds moisture and reduces erosion
  • Immobilizes and degrades pollutants

Here is a list of our Composts:

Leaf Compost – This compost is a totally organic soil conditioner.

Manure Compost - A general-purpose cow compost is suitable for anything from rotor tilling into soil to adding nutrients to garden areas.

Composted Pine Mulch - Rich in organics, dark in colour and retains moisture longer than other mulches. Continues to decompose overtime, slowly releasing nutrients back in to the soil. Improves soil’s friability and water retention. An excellent soil conditioner with nitrogen to give plantings the boost they need.

Peat Moss - Peat retains up to 20 times its weight in moisture and releases water slowly as plants need it. Peat moss decomposes slowly over several years compared to compost, which typically decomposes within one year. It has a reliable pH (3.4 to 4.8); is environmentally friendly and free of insects, weeds, seeds, salts and chemicals, and represents good value.
